Much has already been written about Frieze week and how its fair has once again positioned itself at the epicentre of contemporary art internationally. Doing so for 20 editions now.

One of the privileges of working full time for an art gallery is that before the now classic Regents Park pavilion opens, I have the opportunity to wander around the booths at my leisure. The fact that I can enjoy all the works that the galleries present during the fair without having to have thousands of people around is a privilege that even today I still wonder if I deserve.

It would be easy for me to highlight the works that caught my attention at the fair, but since I started writing articles for Conceptual Projects, I have always tried to keep things fresh. I think there are so many good exhibitions containing photographic-based works in London at the moment, that I personally believe they must be taken into account if you live here or if you pass by. Below I present to you three institutional shows by photographers and visual artists you have to consider visiting before they close.
